  • How do I get started as a first time user on the platform?

As a first time user on the iLearn Africa LMS, you will need an account in order to get started.

Setting up an account is quite simple and fast as demonstrated in the steps below;

Left click on the “LOGIN” link located on the upper right corner of the page next to the cart symbol.

Upon clicking on the “LOGIN” link, you will be presented with a log in form.

As a first time user, you will click on the “SIGN UP” button in order to have an account created for you.

Upon clicking on the “SIGN UP” button, you will be redirected to a data capture form designed to capture details essential to the creation of your user account.

Once you have finished filling in all the relevant fields in the form provided, you are required to click on the “COMPLETE SIGN UP” button at the bottom of the form.

Once you have clicked on the “COMPLETE SIGN UP” button, your details will be processed and an email sent to you shortly confirming creation of your account.

Please note that the confirmatory email will be sent to the email address that you provide in the data capture form.

Once you receive an email confirming the creation of your account, you can then proceed to the iLearn Africa platform and proceed to login to embark on your journey of learning, discovery, professional growth and fulfillment with iLearn Africa.

  • How do I log into my account?

Once your user account has been created, logging in is quite simple.

Irrespective of the product line i.e. Private, Academia or Corporate, you log in from the same point and the system will direct you to your account within the specific platform that you are enrolled under.

Follow the steps below in order to log into your iLearn account;

 

Left click on the “LOGIN” link located on the upper right corner of the page next to the cart symbol.

Upon clicking on the “LOGIN” link, you will be presented with a log in form.

You will then enter your login credentials that were shared with you upon creation of your user account i.e. “Username” and Password. These should be entered in the specific text boxes.

Once you have entered your login credentials in the required spaces, you then click on the “LOG IN” button in order to be redirected to your user account.

Upon successful login, you will be directed to your home page with your profile highlighted on the top right hand corner from which point you can start navigating through the system

  • How do I become an instructor on the iLearn Africa platform?

If you are an individual content developer, a content development company or an academic institution interested in having your content run on the iLearn platform, it’s quite simple. Simply click on the “Become an Instructor” link on the bottom left corner.

Once you have clicked on the “Become an Instructor” link, you will be redirected to a data capture form that will require you to provide certain details essential in the performance of our assessments before your account as an Instructor on the iLearn platform is set up.

Upon filling in all the relevant fields, you are required to click on the “Submit” button.

You will then receive an email within 24hrs guiding you on how to proceed.

  • How do I find a course of interest?

Finding a course of interest is quite simple with the iLearn platform.

There are two (2) approaches to doing this;

 

  1. If you already know the name of the course that you are interested in, you can simply type it in the search engine and click on “FIND”. As long as we have the course in our databases, it will show up on the screen and you can then proceed to click on it in order to get more details about the course as well as enroll for it.

In case you do not know the exact name of the course, you can also browse for it in the form of categories, whereby you simply type the name of the category (for instance “Information Technology”) under which you believe it falls and once you are presented with a list of courses under that category you can then single out that particular course of interest.

In case you do not have a particular course in mind but you would love to undertake a training to broaden your knowledge/ enhance your skillset, you can simply visit our course store and browse through the diversified material that we have for you.

  • How do I enroll for a course of choice?

Once you have identified the course that you are interested in, you simply click on the course and you will be directed to a page that contains all details relating to that particular course.

You will be able to get facts such as;

  • The Instructor of the course
  • The duration of the course
  • Number of users enrolled for that course
  • A summary about the course

 

Once you are done reading about the course, should you be interested in it, you simply click on the “TAKE THIS COURSE” tab located on the right hand side of the page.

  • How do I make payments for a course?

With the iLearn platform, making payments is easy. You have the option of using your VISA debit or credit card as well as your Master Card. The platform also supports mobile payments.

The steps below highlight the payment process;

When you click on “Take this course”, you will be redirected to the product page. This will show you a brief description of your product i.e. Course as well as the cost.

You then click on the “Add to cart” tab.

You then click on the “view cart” tab which will show you a summary of your course purchases and your total bill.

You then click on the check-out tab in order to proceed to make the payment

At the point of checkout, billing details essential to finalization of the transaction will be collected. This will also include your credit card details or mobile payment details.

Once you have entered the necessary details, you click on “proceed to pay pal” tab for those using credit/debit cards.

Once this is done, you will receive a notification and the particular course will be made active on your dashboard.
